it is sinking in

the first wedding present showed up in the mail early last week. as i opened the signature green william sonoma packaging, i paused and looked at toby, thinking, once this wrapping comes off, we can't turn back. funny. we had just bought the rings and we have our ceremony clothes, but something about the first gift....it meant that someone else had become involved.

on this past saturday i sat like a princess surrounded by my family and opened so many amazing gifts. it is weird because they were things i registered for, but some were dream items. i knew that i was loved before the bridal shower and it doesn't really take a gift to state that, but it was the culmination of the gifts, the crafts, the games, the chatter...all of it made me so happy and understand again how lucky i am to have a great family and to be joining another great family.

so thanks toby's mom, aunt donna, kelley, and gram. i had a great time and i will never forget it.
